Our Guesthouse

We have our house named after one of our favorite bands, Calexico from Tucson AZ.

Our house was built in 2005 of Brazilian hardwood and has a playful nature, it was love at first sight! The house downstairs has a large living room, kitchen and two bedrooms; each with private bathroom and a big outside terrace. We live on the top floor. It has a large loft and a bedroom with a large clothing room and a bathroom. The whole back of our house has a nice big covered terrace were we spent most of our time.

Behind the house we have build four additional guest rooms. They are built on 2 blocks, each with two guest rooms. So each room is semi detached and comprises a bedroom with a small kitchenette (incl. crockery set), a bathroom with walk-in shower and a wooden terrace. Each room is equipped with a refrigerator, air conditioning, fan, wireless internet, in room safe and nice comfortable beds (with mattresses and separate top-mattresses). You can choose for twin or double beds and we even have a room with an extra long bed (2.20m) for the tallest among us! We also have showers with hot water!

For divers we’ve built a locker for each room to store diving equipment and also 2 rinse tanks are now available .
The atmosphere we want to create has a Mexican flavor and has influences of all our travels . Hammocks and a lounge area with large cushions are created around our swimming pool.

Our guesthouse is not just a hotel or a resort but we want to create an inviting, informal and intimate atmosphere where travelers not only come to sleep but where they will experience a “real” holiday feeling: relaxing with a book on your own terrace or reading under a palm tree by the pool but also a place where you can meet other travelers while enjoying a snack and a drink.

The location of the guesthouse is less than 150 meters from Playa Chachacha, a beautiful public beach where there is excellent snorkeling and where you can enjoy all the facilities of the large Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino. The boulevard and shops are within a 5 minutes’ walk and during this walk you will pass several nice restaurants.
